3D Art

Way back in the dim mists of time when I was a teenager, I enjoyed drawing and sketching. However, I let those skills lapse. Many years later, when I wanted to create some artwork to illustrate an essay, I found I could no longer use a pencil with anything like my former ability. At that time, home-level 3D programmes were starting to become affordable, and they looked like the easier option. Little did I know.

Years have passed. I still consider myself very much a student of 3D, but I'm getting better. In this section I plan to put together some tutorials to help other beginners learn the skills, describe the software I use (and cheaper alternatives), and show a gallery of my work, with descriptions of how I made certain pieces (including the Penultimate HârnPage banner).

In the creative commons gallery are some character sketches and other images which you're free to use for non-commercial projects so long as you link back to this site.
